2013年CUG版英国大学排名 剑桥大学位列第一

据了解,英国大学指南(Complete University Guide)每年根据学生满意度、研究、入学水平、师生比例、学术经费、设施投入、毕业生出路、优等学位和完成学业比例等多个方面,对116所大学排名。今年新出炉的英国大学排行榜上,剑桥连续第二年在榜首傲视群雄。去年排第四位的伦敦政治经济学院(LSE)连升两级,紧挨着冠军。去年的第二名牛津大学和第三名帝国理工大学不敌LSE,分别成了第三和第四名。
牛津大学被LSE超越的幅度不大,只有一分。评分标准显示拖了它后腿的主要是毕业生出路这一项退步,而LSE这方面则逆市而上,在经济低迷的大环境下,它的毕业生成功就业率不降反升。这是大学排行榜推出15年来,牛津第一次败给LSE。
不过,负责编撰这个排行榜的金斯敦教授指出,LSE之所以比牛津高了一分,可能跟这两所学院开设的课程科目有关。在排名考核范围内的科目中,LSE只开设12门,牛津则有32门。金斯敦教授说,根据排名来断定学校孰优孰劣可能不是很明智,但毫无疑问的是,前三所大学确实是最优秀的。
在入学标准方面,排行榜上的一流大学看来都在努力,争取保证或提高生源质量。剑桥大学录取的新生的中学毕业会考成绩相当于五门课都是A。
